mi Centro BK’s mission is to incubate and nurture neighbor-led programming in Bed-Stuy/Clinton Hill.
Our mission:
Committed to cost not being the barrier, we offer adult, family, and youth programming and open our doors to residents through space-sharing initiatives–including a business incubator program, space donation for local community groups, and our Humans In Resonance creative residency platform.
Our vision:
The goal of all of mi Centro BK’s activities is to enhance quality of life, foster a sense of belonging, and further economic and social development in Bed-Stuy/Clinton Hill through community-led educational, health-related, and culturally diverse programming.
Guided by core values of connection and community self-determination, programs at mi Centro BK facilitate the exchange of information, ideas, and resources, and foster a network of intergenerational community care.
Afterschool

Our afterschool programs, both at mi Centro BK and in local Elementary schools invites amigues in grades K–8 to explore Spanish through art, theater, and creative expression. Whether your child is a fluent speaker or just starting out, we make language come alive with imagination, laughter, and hands-on fun.
Community Events

Part art gallery, part classroom, part living room—our space grows with the people who fill it. Here you might find a plant exchange, a a teen-led film club, a Spanish poetry circle, a Salsa class, or a community repair café. Come build something beautiful with your neighbors.

Humans in Resonance are people or organizations looking for a local space to platform their community-oriented ideas. We believe in supporting initiatives that can foster a supportive local ecosystem, creating a nexus where people from all backgrounds can genuinely connect.
